Program Description

Ceramic engineering deals with inorganic, non-metallic materials — from glass and cement to technical ceramics — and how their structure gives them heat resistance, hardness and useful electrical behaviour. Students learn processing, characterisation and failure analysis. Graduates often work in materials manufacturing, electronics, energy, aerospace components, construction materials or research and development.
