Program Description

African studies is the interdisciplinary study of the continent's histories, languages, politics, economies, arts and societies, past and present. Students draw on history, anthropology, political economy and literature, engaging with debates and sources from the region itself. Graduates often work in research, development, journalism, policy, culture or education.
