Program Description

Contemporary literature examines writing of the recent past and the present — novels, poetry, drama, essays and hybrid forms — and the cultural, political and technological currents running through them. Reading is close and argumentative, supported by critical theory. Graduates often move into publishing, media, teaching, marketing, cultural work and research.
