Program Description

Concerned with the safety, care and wellbeing of children, this field examines safeguarding, family support, fostering and adoption, and the legal and policy frameworks surrounding them. Students look at how services assess risk, work with families and make difficult decisions. Graduates often move into social services, charities, advocacy, policy and research.
