Program Description

Dramaturgy is the study and shaping of what a play or production is trying to do: its structure, sources, historical context and the logic that holds a script together. Dramaturgs research, advise directors and writers, and develop new work. Graduates often work in theatres, literary departments, festivals and arts writing.
