Program Description

At the meeting point of chemistry and pharmacology, medicinal chemistry is about how molecules are designed, synthesised and refined to act on biological targets. Students learn synthesis, structure-activity relationships, analytical methods and how a compound behaves in the body. Graduates commonly enter pharmaceutical and biotechnology research, analytical laboratories, regulatory work and academic science.
