Program Description

Why a metal bends, a ceramic shatters or a polymer creeps comes down to structure at the atomic scale. This field links that structure to properties and performance, and to how materials are made, tested and selected. Graduates often work in aerospace, energy, electronics, biomedical devices and materials research.
