Program Description

Ocean sciences investigate the physics, chemistry, biology and geology of the seas: currents, tides, marine life, sediments and the ocean's role in climate. Students combine laboratory and computational analysis with observation from vessels and satellites. Graduates often work in environmental monitoring, fisheries and marine resource management, offshore industry or research.
