Program Description

Sustainable development studies how human needs — energy, food, housing, work — can be met without exhausting the systems everyone depends on. It draws on economics, environmental science, governance and social equity, and asks who bears the cost of each choice. Graduates often work in development organisations, environmental programmes, policy analysis and corporate responsibility.
