Program Description

Classics explores the languages, literature, philosophy, art and history of the ancient world, reading surviving texts closely and interpreting material remains. The work trains careful translation, argument from fragmentary evidence and attention to how ideas travel across time. Graduates go into teaching, museums and heritage, publishing, law, research and public administration.
