Program Description

Quantum physics describes matter and energy at the smallest scales, where particles behave in ways ordinary intuition does not predict. Study is mathematical — states, operators, probability amplitudes — and is tested against experiments in atoms, light, and solids. Graduates often go into research, semiconductor and photonics industries, computing, instrumentation, and teaching.
