Program Description

Jazz studies centres on playing and understanding jazz: improvisation, harmony, rhythm and the give-and-take of ensemble performance. Alongside instrumental or vocal practice, students examine the music's history, repertoire, arranging and recording traditions. Graduates often perform, teach, compose and arrange, or work in recording, production and the wider music industry.
