Program Description

Religion is studied here as a human phenomenon: sacred texts, beliefs, rituals, institutions, and the ways faith has shaped societies, ethics and conflict through history. Approaches draw on history, philosophy, anthropology and textual analysis. Graduates often work in education, journalism, public service, charities and cultural institutions.
