Program Description

Aesthetics asks what beauty is, how art works on us, and on what grounds we judge some works more powerful or truthful than others. It is a philosophical subject, built on close argument and on examples drawn from art, music and everyday experience. Graduates often work in criticism, curation, publishing, arts organisations, teaching or research.
