Program Description

Latin combines careful language learning with the reading of classical literature, history, philosophy and inscriptions in the original. Students build grammar and vocabulary, translate demanding texts, and trace how Latin shaped later languages, law, science and religious writing. Graduates often move into teaching, publishing, archives, heritage work or further research.
