BS Physics Major - Astronomy and Astrophysics Option

Program Description

Observation drives astronomy: planets, stars, galaxies and the instruments built to see them. Students learn physics and mathematics and work with data from telescopes and sky surveys, often writing code to process it. Graduates often go into research, data analysis, software, instrumentation, teaching and public outreach.
