Program Description

Analytical chemistry answers a deceptively simple question: what is in this sample, and how much of it? Students learn separation and detection techniques such as chromatography, spectroscopy and mass spectrometry, along with method development, calibration and quality control. Graduates often work in laboratories serving medicine, food, the environment, materials and forensics.
