Program Description

Social work supports people facing hardship — family difficulty, disability, poor mental health, poverty, abuse or needs that come with age — and connects them with services and protection. Human development, law, policy and ethics join the practical skills of assessment and intervention. Graduates often work in child and family services, mental health, community organisations and local government.
