Program Description

Microbiology studies bacteria, viruses, fungi and other organisms too small to see: how they live, how they cause disease, and how they are used in medicine, agriculture and industry. Laboratory technique is central, from culturing and identification to genetics and analysis. Graduates often work in clinical and research laboratories, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and food safety.
