Program Description

Comparative literature reads works across languages, periods and traditions, asking what happens when texts travel, are translated and speak to each other. Students study literary theory, translation and the relationship between literature and film, philosophy and politics. Graduates often work in publishing and editing, translation, teaching, media, cultural organisations and research.
